About RemitHome.net.au
Last reviewed
RemitHome.net.au explains how sending money from Australia works: the mid-market exchange rate, the fees and margins providers add, and what to check before you send. We show reference rates with the time we checked them, and we do not send money ourselves.
What we are, and what we are not
RemitHome.net.au is an information site, not a remittance provider, bank or money transfer service. We do not sell, quote or arrange any product, we do not take applications and we do not collect personal details. If you decide to go ahead with a provider, you deal with that provider directly, on its own site and under its own terms.
In Australia, businesses that send money overseas for customers must be registered with AUSTRAC under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, and banks are regulated by APRA. We do not send money, so we are not registered as a remittance provider. We do not hold an Australian financial services licence and we do not give financial product advice. You can check a money transfer business on AUSTRAC's Remittance Sector Register before you use it.
How the site is paid for
We have no affiliate or referral links and no provider pays us. Read our affiliate disclosure. If that ever changes, it will never change the rates we show or what we write; see our editorial policy.
